Crafting Weekend Getaway

April 12, 2015

Every year the women in my family come together for a crafting weekend. They have tried out a few different retreats, but South Fork Farm in Lester Prairie, Minnesota is their favorite. It’s not hard to see why either.

Β The charming renovated farm house is set on a large plot of land that allows for plenty of privacy.

Depending on the amount of guests you have, you have the choice from up to five different bedrooms, all decorated and themed by a different type of flower.

There are five bathrooms in the house, so if you have a large group with you there is room to get ready in the morning.

There is also space to have a quiet moment away from the group.

A study space on the main level.

Or a little nook in the hallway.

My favorite part of the house is the kitchen. It’s so well stocked with kitchen utensils and pans and dishes.

This would be the perfect place to have cookie decorating parties in December. Β And there is enough room for everyone to be seated.

The crafting studio has tools and resources available for you in addition to anything you may bring.

As you can see, the early birds get their first pic of what tables to spread out across.

In the back of the house there is a beautiful gazebo and a pit for bonfires.

I would look out the window in the morning and think that a horse had broken free.

Or that a coyote was running loose.

The house proved to be stunning from both sides.

And before this cold Floridian retreated back inside the retreat, I managed to take up a photo opportunity.

South Fork Farm is truly a charming and cozy place to spend the weekend away with other creative minds.

They truly thought of everything to make your stay comfortable so that you can focus on making memories with family and friends.

Aw that’s such a cute idea. It looks really cozy in there like a home away from home.
