Easy DIY Christmas Wreath

December 13, 2015

Last Christmas came and went so quickly.

This year I’m making sure I don’t miss it.

I’ve been decorating and baking and listening to Christmas carols.

(And not the just the awful CD they play at work. The good stuff.)

Here’s a Christmas craft that I’ve been working on, and the great part is it only cost me $3 to make!

The inspiration for this came from this pin on Pinterest.

I took garland, a mini chalkboard and a felt ornament that I bought at the Dollar Tree and turned it into a cute mini wreath that I’m quite pleased with!

I took some gold paint that I already had on hand and painted the green plastic of the chalkboard.

I originally had written out”Joy” with just the chalk, but then I decided that I like the look of a metallic marker better.

After the paint and the ink had dried, I used my hot glue gun and glued the chalkboard to a cardboard circle that I cut out of a shoe box.

The next step was to glue the garland around the sides of the chalkboard.

Finally I took the felt ornament and glued it to the garland and added some twine to the back to hang it up.

It was that simple and now I have a cute little wreath to brighten my space!

What are some simple crafts that you do to get ready for the holidays?
