Welcome Spring!

Spring is here!

Easter is this Sunday, and a small lizard has taken up residence under my couch.

That last statement may seem weird to a non-Floridian, but to me it’s pretty exciting!

I find bringing in Spring more of a time for change than the new year. Yes, I did come up with my own resolutions and goals for the new year, but when the days are shorter it seems even harder to do anything.

Now I can enjoy more of the daylight, I am ready to tackle my goals for the year!

The past week we have been heavily Spring cleaning, and I have been tackling my craft supplies.

So to welcome Spring I created a mini wreath with supplies from the Dollar Tree.

$4 is all it took!

I picked out a mini wreath form and 3 different types of fake flowers from the Dollar Tree’s craft floral section.

I got my glue gun and scissors ready and I was ready to go!

The first step was to remove all the flowers from their stems.

I was left with an awesome pile of flowers and a glittery mess all over my table. I was then able to start placing my flowers and get an idea of where I wanted to glue them in.

After I had an idea of where to place them, I just started gluing away.  The final project was so cute and It took me probably 10 minutes to complete!

Now, since I had been cleaning out my craft supplies I did take a few more of my things and made a banner. I used embroidery floss, felt, wire and my alphabet stamps to create a banner that said Welcome. I didn’t take any pictures to document the process, because it was a last minute decision. But honestly, this wreath is so cute that it doesn’t ┬áneed a banner and can hang all on it’s own.
