It’s been a while, and I thought I’d share some of the things that I’m currently obsessing over.

Crochet

First thing, crocheting face pads. I only know how to crochet a single stitch, and for now that is enough to create these face pads to wash my face with. These are great, and I’ve suffered far less breakouts on my face than I used to.  After I use one I toss it in a delicate laundry bag to toss in the washer. I use Peaches and Cream yarn because it’s 100% cotton.  My Great Aunt Sharon taught me how to single stitch, but to continue learning I like to turn to Crochet Guru’s YouTube channel to help me when I get stuck. She provides tutorials for the right and left-handed.

7-Can Soup

The next thing I’ve been devouring like crazy is this incredibly simple soup recipe from The Pioneer Woman. It’s called 7-can soup and I really don’t know how to explain it other than you dump 7 cans of stuff and some cheese in a pot and when the flavors all come together you’re left with an awesome meal. I make this every other week and there are no complaints in this house. It’s very cheap to make, the two of us get maybe 4 meals out of one pot, and honestly I just add shredded cheddar instead of the Velveeta and it comes out great.  Go to her website to get the recipe, and the post she writes along with it is a pretty humorous read too.

Orphan Black

Finally, The Walking Dead has ended, and I needed something to fill the void until Game of Thrones began. I found Orphan Black and binge watched three seasons of it before the season 4 premier that took place about a week ago. This show is crazy good, and every episode left me wanting more. Tatiana Maslany plays more than five different characters in the show and she plays them all really well. Sometimes while I watch the show, I have to remind myself that these are all the same person. If you have Amazon Prime you can binge watch seasons 1-3 like I did. The best way I can describe this show without giving away any spoilers is Sarah Manning witnesses a woman who looks identical to her commit suicide, she steals her identity and her life spirals into chaos as she learns about where she comes from. This is definitely a show worth looking into. Go here to watch the opening scene from the show.

I love all of these things! And I really want to try that soup, I might even have all the ingredients already! I have been hearing a lot lately about that show as well. Maybe it’s worth checking out 🙂
