DIY Simple Halloween Wreath

October 20, 2016

Halloween is almost here and those who know me, know that Fall is my favorite season of all!

Pumpkins and Apple Cider and Candy Corn!

So of course I need some spooky decor around my place!
This simple wreath only cost me $3 to make.

I already had black spray paint and my glue gun.

(I don’t know if you noticed, but the Dollar Store is my favorite place to gather supplies for my crafts!)

Now that I have the soundtrack for the Rocky Horror Picture Show blasting, I’m ready to begin my wreath.

This particular willow wreath I picked up was a little warped and the branches were not perfectly curved into a circle. That is exactly that I wanted. I had hoped the finish was a little darker on the wreath so I added a coat of black spray paint. It didn’t have to be perfect. I just wanted the branches to look like they belonged at a haunted house.

After the paint dried on the wreath I began gluing the glitter vase filler around the wreath in clumps until I achieved the look I wanted. I added some of the confetti bats and spiders around to add something a little extra to my wreath (as a side note, I bought the jumbo confetti from Walmart).

After all the glittery mess I achieved a cute wreath that was scarily easy to make. I even have some leftover confetti that can be used for another craft!

What should I make with all these extra pieces?!

I hope you enjoyed this craft and if you make your own tag me on Instagram @thekaitlynpowellblog so I can see your results!

Thanks for reading and have a Happy Halloween season!

So cute and easy! You make the best crafts with your Dollar Store finds. I love the wreath wasn’t perfect.
